About Design Matters Conference

Design Matters is a series of conferences on digital design, made for designers, by designers. It is a place to gather together, share ideas, and discuss experiences. Since 2015, Design Matters has been sharing stories about new movements in design, giving inspiration to designers from all over the world with a yearly conference in Copenhagen. In January 2020, Design Matters landed in Tokyo, in January 2023 in Mexico City and in November 2023 in Lagos.

Dear [BOSS NAME],

I would like to share information about Design Matters 25, a conference I want to attend, and I would like your approval for [COMPANY NAME] to cover the costs. The conference will happen on June 16-17 in Copenhagen. This event is a great opportunity for me to grow professionally, while making meaningful connections to the design community, not only from Copenhagen, but globally. My participation will help in supporting and amplifying the voices of designers from all corners of the world, giving them a global stage and opening opportunities to be recognized as the leaders they are, but also to connect with me and other attendees, who are highly specialized in design, tech and creativity.

This conference will bring me inspiration, education, and connections needed to continue growing successfully in my career. But this isn’t all. Design Matters is not the standard conference. They put focus into making the event a safe space, diverse, inclusive and fun! I have no doubt that it will make me better at my job, and I’m sure others in my team would appreciate the opportunity as well.

If you feel like getting to know more about Design Matters, you can have a look at the lineup of speakers from their previous event in October 2024, or by taking a look at the insightful themes they will be presenting at the conference I want to attend.

I’m sure that participating will directly influence the quality of my work at [ORGANIZATION’S NAME], and when I get back, I’m happy to share my learnings with the team. I would love to present what ideas from the conference we could discuss or implement.

The approximate cost of my participation would be:

[ADD THE AMOUNT, IF APPLICABLE]

Travel: [$]

Hotel: [$]

In-Person ticket, includes all meals: [Take a look at the current ticket prices.]

TOTAL COST: [$ AMOUNT]

If others in the team want to attend, Design Matters offers group discounts. [Email hello@designmatters.io to get your unique discount code.]

Thank you for reviewing my request, I’m really looking forward to your reply.

All the best,

[YOUR NAME]
