Who we’re looking for

• An event planner who is organised and loves working with people
• A proactive person who can do outreach and handle direct contact with partners
• A person with a sharp eye for detail, especially when it comes to your own work
• A resourceful person who can think outside the box
• A person who knows how to engage communities and can plan/organise activities for creatives and designers
• A determined person with great problem solving skills

 

Essentials

• Strong personal interest in community management and working with events
• Experience or background in sales, marketing, and community management
• An excellent level of written and spoken English
• You’re not afraid to ask questions or seek out information that helps you in your work
• You can manage different tasks simultaneously.
• Generalist, wear many hats, not a one-role kind of company
• You’re open to feedback and can work independently when needed
• You’re comfortable working in an international environment
• You’re a problem solver and have initiative

 

Bonus Points

• You know more than one language
• Have a large network

 

On a typical day you could:

• Send and reply to (lots of) emails
• Prepare and host meetings
• Handle communication with partners, sponsors, and the production team
• Maintain, update, and organise spreadsheets
• Collaborate with partner and sponsors
• Collaborate with other members of the team
• Plan and execute events in person and online
• Do community building activities online and offline

 

More details

You’ll be reporting to the Founder of Design Matters, helping to bring our brand to life through partnerships and activities — whether it’s through direct messaging, campaigns, or supporting the wider design community by organising online and in-person activities. You’ll be working on partnerships and events creation from ideation to execution.

Starting date: November/December 2024
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark (you must be based in Copenhagen)
Hybrid: 3 days/week at the office, 2 days/week wfh
Type: Full Time/Part Time
