With the rise of social media, digital word of mouth recommendations are more important than ever before. Localhood is a long-term vision that supports the creation of our future destination where locals and visitors not only co-exist, but interact around shared experiences of localhood.
We need to generate more value for the visitors we have already attracted, and inspire them to do more, stay longer or come back on another occasion. In this workshop you’ll analyse how to use data and insights to identify and remove the weak points of our destination to improve satisfaction levels and increase the desire to recommend and return. By 2020, international passenger arrivals are expected to reach 1.6 billion people globally. Therefore, we need to exploit this long-term potential continuing to attract travelers from the markets with the highest business potential. At the same time, we must not forget the liveability of the locals, they will turn against tourism.
